Hello. Just a lone Rice passing by.

I am a tad bewildered with the way dialogs are presented. Sometimes they use double quotations, sometimes single—which I initially presumed were thought dialogs—but then actual thought dialogs showed up as italicized dialogs… and then there’s the bracketed ones. Not too big of an issue, I figure they’re either to be clarified later or I’m just missing a webnovel trope (I don’t read webnovels often).

Also, a passing thought, but Stephen being a “slave” due to being a “special” operative is… I don’t know if I read it right. He truly does live in a society, I suppose.

It’s a dialog so it’s no issue, especially if it’s deliberate, but this just reminded me how one of my writing friends used to always point out sentence fragments.

>Didn’t they realize the common worker was the bedrock of society It appears to be a dialog but is written in past tense as if it’s part of the narration. Can’t tell if intended.

>Of course, the term 'efficiency' was defined by the State's perspective In American English, they use double quotations for “efficiency” here.

In general:

Double quotation -> Someone is speaking Single quotation -> Internal thoughts actually being internally verbalized (for the most part) Italics -> More subconscious and tends to relate to 'Oracle' ability Brackets -> Over a mechanical device

Definitely one of my favorites on the site. I actually like to compare and contrast some of the elements of the "State" on my work and OFPV because despite being called the same thing, they are also quite different in many ways despite sharing themes.

Set your expectations low though... OFPV is a goat. Lol.

It was not mentioned in previous chapters. Basically, it is [Ancestral] meaning that his soul is inherently connected to some kind of eleven history. As opposed to [Inherited] which would instead be if an individual adopted/accepted the traits of a family/clan/bloodline/etc.

The writing style is very lengthy, I haven’t seen many novel do that.
