🌐 The Genesis Forums Are Now Open
Phase 1 of the Genesis Forums is officially complete.
For years, platforms like Novel Updates have been the default destination for finding and discussing Eastern web novels. But the industry has evolved, and readers, authors, and publishers deserve more than a dated directory, fragmented discussions, and features that have barely kept pace with the modern web-novel ecosystem.
Genesis Forums is being built as the next step forward: a modern community and discovery platform where readers can discuss, review, recommend, and find novels from across the entire industry.
This includes:
- Translated Eastern web novels
- Original English web novels
- Independent and professionally published works
- Novel reviews and recommendations
- Source-finding and title-identification discussions
- Dedicated spoiler and novel discussion sections
- Spaces for authors, illustrators, and creators
- Official announcements, feedback, and community discussions
Unlike legacy repositories, Genesis is not being designed only as a community-maintained index. We are building a platform capable of working directly with authors, rights holders, and Eastern publishers while helping their stories reach a truly global audience.

Our goal is simple: build a platform so complete, modern, and globally connected that the web-novel community no longer needs to depend on obsolete communities that are shunned by publishers, writers, and readers alike.
🤝 Genesis Studio × Munpia
We are equally excited to announce that Genesis Studio has entered into a partnership with Munpia, one of Korea’s leading web-novel platforms.
Through this partnership, Genesis Studio will begin officially translating and introducing more Munpia novels to readers around the world.
The first title on our list is Dungeon Maker, written by Chwiryong (취룡), the author of many popular titles like Ending Maker, Valhalla Saga and Breakers. Dungeon Maker is also set within the same universe as Ending Maker.

This partnership represents an important step in our mission to work directly with Eastern publishers, rights holders, and creators rather than simply catalogue their stories from a distance. We want to provide these works with professional localisation, global distribution, and communities where international readers can properly discover and support them.
Dungeon Maker is only the beginning.
