If you like verbose descriptions of things this is not for you. Two sentences is a wordy paragraph in this one. The characters are shallow. I wouldn't say it's bad, but the writing style seems to target children rather then adults. I'm only on the 10th chapter so don't take my comment as "This is safe to let children read."
