You’d have thought he’d do a better job of preparing himself to meet her. I know he has emotions towards those he considers “his people”, but this is overblown to a significant extent. He is reminiscent of a Japanese anime character, all that’s missing is a description of his face feeling on fire (him blushing) and a few stutters and he’s quintessential irritating anime MC material, lol.

He acts like a bitter old man quite often, so that’s an apt description…

Gee, maybe you should’ve spent a few minutes and actually talked to her about the premonition she’s feeling? Idiot gets her to invest in luck for the benefits it could bring and when she’s tried to tell him something twice he’s basically shoo’ed her away both times.

He could be friendly and make her day better but instead as usual he’s focused on “drawing lines” between them. It wouldn’t cost him anything but as usual stingy ass can’t be bothered. Sigh.
