It doesn’t matter if they’re vagrants. If you act no better than they do then you’re just as bad if not worse than Vagrants, because at least they’re honest and open about who and what they are. This MC keeps being a hypocrite trying to act like he’s better than a Vagrant when he’s a murdering rapist just like they are. The biggest hypocrite I’ve seen in a novel in years.

I'm wondering if that line saying "hiding" is a mistranslation because it makes no sense to say at a farewell, in English at least.
