MEMORIZE - Novel Discussion
Not much to retort about dude, you do have a terrible habit of playing favorites and being a hypocritical bastard.
See author? You CAN write him not being a selfish, hypocritical bastard for at least a chapter every hundred or so can’t you? Bravo! lol
I didn't want to believe it, but if Ahn Sol is feeling this sorrowful, it might be too late for Ahn Hyun.
Wow, that’s a little much. Total neutrality? So when one side is totally in the wrong he still won’t say anything and just play both sides? Typical MC. He could have easily explained that she didn’t betray anyone, that she made the exact same decision he would’ve made had he been in her position. She knew none of his secrets or plans because he wouldn’t tell her anything. So she made the only “correct” choice.
Wait, this entire situation was predicted by the Lord of the Magic tower with the tarot reading. The fork in the road, signifying a choice, and then....What was it?
You have points to help with that problem but you’re being swayed by “emotions” to use them to raise other stats you don’t really need. So that’s your own damn fault.
MC is an asshole and an idiot. Running your team ragged when they could be attacked at any time by the Hunters they thought were herding them earlier, monsters, or Vagrants at any point in time I’d stupid. It’s almost like he does it just to have something to complain about their performance at and to deel superior about. Dude needs some psych meds.
I mean tbf they did just forcefully strip that man lol
How is it that this guy has constantly had emotional flashbacks of this girl throughout the entire story and he’s literally stunlocked seeing her again for the first time but he’s still getting so furious at her that he wants to assault her. Like I think the author has been hinting at his severe emotional instability as a result of the things he went through in the first run, but the way it’s portrayed so far has been terrible in almost every way. There are a lot of positive things in this story but man the dialogue and the mc’s internal monologue are just so poorly written sometimes, especially the latter. I’ll keep going though I refuse to believe the same author that wrote SCOG keeps this level of quality for much longer
Im surprised there’s no retribution for “attacking” and almost killing a baby unicorn, lol. 😂
just quit reading then. Every chapter it seems you can't stand MC so why torture yourself? Just drop the novel
I've got to critices when the translation chooses to use the Korean word. Hangyeol said I wanted to eat with you, Hanbyeoul said "Hyung?", that's because Hangyeol said "I wanted to eat with Hyung", but if they don't translate Hyung the first time, but translate it the second, it gets confusing for people who don't kno the terms. Likewise there's been cases of Sol having Oraeboni translated to Brother, and other cases where someone said something, and the other person repeated a word the former said, except the releated word wasn't actually said before
He keeps talking about his “old sharpness”, but all that seems to manifest as is him being an asshole.
See, even the other characters can tell the MC is into the fem-boy.
Was this chapter machine translated? It’s got parts that don’t make sense.
Another example of what I said in an earlier chapter about inconsistent translation. Yoojung says "I never thought it'd go that far" and Soohyun says "Didn't know, huh" repeating what she said, except from what we're reading she never said "didn't know" she said "never thought" so really Yoojung's line should have been changed to "I didn't know it'd go that far" to match Soohyun's, or Soohyun's line should have been changed to "never thought, huh?" to match Yoojung's
Thanks for catching this, you're right. In the original Korean, Soohyun's line is a loose paraphrase of what Yoojung says. It reads naturally in Korean, but in English it came across as him misquoting her. We've updated his line to "Never thought, huh?" so it echoes hers directly, and it's live in the chapter now. If you spot more like this, please keep flagging them. These reports help us a lot.
Thanks for flagging this, you were right. A few terms in this chapter came out wrong (for example "flashes of light" read as "Fortune-telling"), which made some passages confusing. We've gone back through the chapter, corrected it, and the fixed version is live now. Sorry for the rough read, and thanks for helping us catch it.
