Yeah I know I'm judging a book by it's cover but the ai slop is really hard on the eyes for me. Atleast this one tries a little.
Try Again, Villainess? - Novel Discussion
Apologies for the late response.
I write under the name of Ouji Rice, though currently many of my works are refined in docs! I posted Hougu Wars a while back. Public version a bit outdated after I got life'd a bit, but it's coming back this summer or possibly earlier, hopefully.
Reading what you meant, not at all. Maybe it's just because you're a guy, but if this was one of the jade beauties in all of those other novels with descriptions covering half the chapter, you probably wouldn't bat an eye
THIS IS REALLY GOOD! I've read my fair share of villainess stories, and the most that was annoyed me was the plot was dragging. NO! IN FACT! For the most part, the plot felt stagnant. It's an impressive choice here how you used two reincarnators to move the plot forward, add depth to characterization (still could be approved with more POVs in between), and adding your own twist into the genre. The story also feels decently paced, could be better, but it's good. Is there any way you plan to continue this or publish it somewhere else in case it doesn't get greenlit?
The story seems really promising in the initial chapters but fast pacing, extreme character swings and too many characters too fast really is hurt the future prospects.

Late reply! But I remembered reading this and think some parts could be stretched for more development. The initial draft of 20 chaps could easily have become maybe 35 chaps instead is what I feel. Hope this gets serialized soon!
