If you noticed, Aric seemed to not really be himself since he awakened mana...also his thoughts are repeating. Another point, he for some reason is staying in the forest the whole time and doesn't return home. He hasn't talked to anyone else, since the teacher taught him how to use mana... Something's wrong, I can feel it
Chapter reminded me a bit of the Dune movie (2021) -- sparing with a mentor, while feeling the pressure of the world, a quiet mystery in the background. In the case of Dune, the MC was settling on a new hostile planet instead of an isekai though.
